I have seen many pictures of highland cows, and whilst I have seen many I have never really had the oppourtunity to be up close with one.

During a recent visit to Mull, we were driving around and there were many highland cows in fields behind fences, but this one was just at the side of the road, so tentatively I got closer and closer, whilst he was grazing, then he lifted his head up to say hello and i shot. He wasn’t at all phased by us in the slightest.

Wish I had got a little closer to get a good distortion effect with an oversized head…Next time
